A number of the past is coming back.

Neighbours' last ever episode will air in Australia and the UK on Monday, August 1.

https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/neighbo...returnees/

Jordan Patrick Smith who played Andrew Robinson, the son of Jason and Kylies characters is coming back, as well as Jason and Kylie.

Going to miss the show when it ends. A bit sad that after 37 years and over 8,800 episodes a part of a lot of our live is gone. Weather you watched for a short while or long time.

At some point over the year, the show had some shirtless scenes, for straight guys as well as us gay guys.

Today, Friday the 10th of June is the last day of filming.

A shame that the soap has ended, 37 years.

Seems to be a sad day for all the crew.

I'm very sad about this. There's nothing else like it: light, bright, generally cheerful. Proud enough of its history to reach back. It may not be Shakespeare or Bennett, but it doesn't need to be.

Must admit, its the only soap I watch now. Not religiously but if I'm in I'll usually watch it.

As above, its light, funny.. what a soap should be. Not like Eastenders/Corrie/Emmerdale where you need anti-depressants after every episode nowadays.

Dr Karl said this morning that some of the ‘old’ stars who couldn’t appear in reality made it on the screen in some other way. Whoever could he mean??

I just hope that when it comes to the last episode with Jason Donovan and Kylie Minogue it won't be within the last 2 minutes.
Hopefully it would be something a bit decent.

End on a bit of a high

Didn't Neighbours kill off Ringo Starr, Libby's husband, Hendrix, Harold Bishop's entire family and Kate Ramsay? That's light and funny?

Ahhh so many memories and I'm sad that the show is ending - I remember watching the first series, made by Seven, when it came on air in the UK in 1986: got hooked on it and all those funny Aussie sayings and words like. The second series onwards was better:

Drongo , "you're a dag", "he's a spunk", "mongrels!" and of course the legendary .....  "rack off!" - I wondered if that was really how Australians talked?

My favourite era of the show was probably the early 90s when you had Kristian Schmidt playing Todd Landers, Jeremy Angerson playing Josh Anderson (had a big crush on him), the busty/feisty/sassy Melissa Bell playing Lucy Robinson, Richard Huggett playing Glenn Donnelly and the Alessi twins Smile

And how many times did that Split Enz song get played in Daphne's Coffee Shop? lol
