Firebird - the movie

Just wanted to ask, does anyone know when the movie Firebird is actually coming out?? Although it was released a year ago, it only seems like it made the film festivals. And only just now being released in cinemas.

So although I’ve pre-ordered it from iTunes, it mightn’t be available until closer to Christmas??

IMDb Release Info has 10 June 2022. That date doesn't have festival next to the date.
Germany, Indonesia and Poland have that date too, so maybe check that date. Just in case

Don't mean to intrude on your conversation, but, Kodi Streaming service has been streaming Firebird for months now. Just checked, it's still there. Kind of hard to believe you are still waiting to see it in a theater. Just wanted to pass along this bit of information if any of you asking about this movie is interest.

Yeah I like to support gay cinema whenever I can, but I got bored of waiting and ended up pirating it months ago. I don't know why they didn't just release it on PPV or amazon??

Not sure. There is no theatrical release date announced on their website https://firebirdmovie.com/ but it's screening next in Amsterdam in March.

I dunno if you’ve already watched it, it’s not the most sophisticated movie ever made but I can relate to it in lots of ways.

It doesn’t matter which decade you live in, or how out and comfortable you are with your sexuality.

Unless you’re lucky enough to be in the right place, at the right time, with someone who feels exactly the same way about you, and has no other ties to anyone else… there’s probably a chance that you might lose a piece of yourself to someone forever.

And never get them back. Or just thinking what may have been.
