So...no twinks to drool over this year, but Chigs is kinda cute and there's something about Giuseppe...
Maggie is going to annoy the fuck out of me, Amanda is so NOT a detective in the Met and I was a bit surprised they kicked Tom out in front of her.
Now all I need is 5in to tell me what a sad old gayer I am for watching this show
Anybody else watching?

Yeah Chigs is very cute and George has caught my eye for some reason.
I thought Jairzeno would go for that mess of a cake he presented at the end.

Yeah I'm surprised that Tom went.
Is Maggie the Pru lookalike who doesn't lookalike Pru?
Yeah.. Had enough of her already.
Also..
Might be a northerner thing. But that Malt Loaf didn't look anything like what I call a Malt Loaf. It was more of a tea-loaf type thing.
Malt Loaf is all sticky (steady!!!!!!!)
Although to be fair, it did look nicer than sticky malt loaf.

Yes! I'm not northern but love a bit of malt loaf. When Paul and Pru sliced off a bit of that malt loaf to show us what it's meant to look like, I was shooketh. It was bone dry and not at all squishy or sticky. It looked like a slice of 2 week old fruit cake.

I think Chigs is really sexy, he’s definitely keeping me watching every week! He has such a cute smile too and is always so happy. His baking is also really noticeably improving each week - it’s amazing he’s already this good having been baking for little more than a year! If his progress carries on, I hope he wins, he’d be very deserving!

Gutted that Maggie has gone. I know she wouldn't have won but a few more weeks of her would have been lovely, her beaming constant smile whatever happened with her bakes just made me feel warm inside.

I think if it wasn’t for Maggie’s “gluten free” sticky toffee pudding (that literally looked like a pile of s***), it would’ve been George out that week. But as things go, George seems to be improving as the weeks go on!
I haven’t laughed watching Bake Off so much before!!

Chigs has got better and better as the series has progressed.
He's also the hottest by a country mile.
He can put a bun in my oven any day!

I ended up getting miles behind with this series & only watched the final last might. Think Giuseppe was a deserved winner overall, though he had a bit of a ropy final - what was he doing burning the fuck out of those buns in the technical challenge?
Crystelle might have won it if she hadn't served raw dough in the final round and I felt a bit sorry for Chigs. It seemed like the judges had decided he was just making up the numbers and had no chance, but it looked like he made the best showstopper. And yeah, I agree with EE85 - he is very cute,

Yeah glad Giuseppe won. It was obviously judged over the series though rather than over the final.

It was fine. Probably my least favourite series though. I didn't find it or anyone in it that interesting, I didn't feel invested in anyone. Hope they have a better group of people next year. I think they needed just a couple more younger people, the balance seemed a bit off. Also Noel desperately needs to be replaced. I love Matt though.

Matt is the worst part of the show, his constant flirting with chiggs was uncomfortable

Noel really needs to be replaced - this whole vampire/soulless type persona isn’t funny, it’s just wooden and boring. Matt is fun, I think Matt and Sandi Toksvig could’ve made a good duo!
I also agree that Chigs was just there to make up numbers. Personally I think he was the strongest in the final, and it’s remarkable how he’s grown as a baker through the series. Crystelle would’ve been the strongest, but the raw dough was a cardinal sin, as was Giuseppe’s burnt buns. I think Chigs was the only one who didn’t make a basic error (I think wrongly proportioned buns can be excused!)
As for being judged over the whole series, I think Jurgen’s departure questions that!
Oh, and I may be secretly a tad upset that I probably won’t be seeing Chigs on TV again….!

No. I mean the final.
The other rounds were judged 'on the day'. The final seemed to be judged over the series rather than on the day.

I enjoyed the series but by the end it was wearing a bit thin.
Matt and Noel are a bit flat now. They seemed to have run of of steam and it’s very same at this point.
The one highlight through it all was Chiggs. A Great baker, seemed lovely and fuck he was hot.
