Unfortunately it's not just The Mail, even TV news no longer reports. There is more speculation and sensationalism than there is actual news presented.

Don't be so narrow minded.  74 million is 11 million more than Trump got in 2016, that's after four years of his depraved presidency.  They are a potent force to be reckoned with going forward to 2022, 20224 and beyond. They aren't going away and it ain't over.

As applies to the current thread, many of those 74 million are superspreaders.

Well judging on arguments I was seeing on the News channel last night plus what I saw on my one weekly trip to Asda yesterday, it would appear that Lockdown 3 is a bit of a shambles.

A complete national lockdown where people/shops are still allowed to do what they want.

Cuomo just tweeted as if he were Trump about needing to open up the state immediately. These rich ass motherfuckers (including former mayor Bloomberg) could personally support the entire state and still be rich. They choose to instead whinge on while entirely discounting the essential people whose lives they want to risk.

To be a shitty American, such a move would benefit their PR and even give a little red meat to libertarians who think the free market can solve everything.

I know of no store in NYC (Manhattan) that will let you in the door without a face "covering".  There are signs at the entrances.  Even my gym requires a face "mask" (not just a "covering") and a temperature check to get in.  And there is staff on the floor making sure that everyone is wearing a mask.

But this is New York.  I don't know what it's like out there in the heartland red states where "Don't take away my rights" and "Don't tell me what to do" dominates.

On dating sites I see profiles that say "Not dating during Covid" (or something similar).

Here in Minneapolis? Everyone wears masks. I've even been heckled for not wearing mine outside (I was safely distanced). Back at Mom's, I'd say it's 90%, but businesses are not terribly strict about it. Same in Fargo, where my sister lives.
