I've never watched The Crown - was he portrayed as a rancid racist old cunt? If so, then yes Approve

I've only watched the first three seasons so far so he's not old yet, nor rancid (yet!).
But he is portrayed as embarrassingly independent (for Liz), inappropriate with the mouth, unfaithful and he and Liz don't get along very well, but since she's head of the church there cannot be a divorce.
I'll see what season four has to offer.

It's my impression that if you weren't offended by him then he would have been most entertaining to have a beer with.

What the fuck is wrong with you, JCarter. You seem to loathe every minute of your time on here. I've read direct quotes from him. He was racist and a Nazi sympathizer.

Lol The BBC have received so many complaints that they have set up a streamlined complaints process https://www.bbc.co.uk/contact/death-duke...tification

I watched the news earlier and there was some bloke who kept saying things like 'the entire nation is weeping right now'. I will not mourn a single day for someone I've never met. It is entirely disproportionate to pull every single channel to either have wall to wall coverage or blank screens for mourning.

Heinrich, calm down I only said that it's on you as a foreigner if you're going to dabble in foreign affairs to do your research from reliable sources. FMF and reputable news source don't exactly go together.

Well every BBC Channel, apart from BBC 4 (I think CBBC stuck to kids programs) have been showing the same thing. BBC 4 didn't have any programs on it.
Like 'A Tribute to HRH Duke of Edinburgh' - did that need to be on 7 of the BBC channels

How much research do you need to do to discover he was a racist old cunt?

That's the point though isn't it, all 7 channels is overkill.
We've spent the past year locked down and mourning the loss of people we actually knew and loved. It's completely unreasonable and out of touch for them to enforce a period of mourning and more depression on the nation, especially at a time when we cannot socialise with others, so TV is the only source of entertainment for many. I've just switched to netflix, but not everyone has that luxury.

There's no amount that will satisfy JC because he just wants to be miserable online.

What are all those medals for on his uniform when he's in military(?) dress?
Can you buy them?

I expected something like what the BBC have done, with it being a Royal, but fuck. And I think a couple of the programs that were shown, were repeated.
There's 10 BBC Channel still on air. If you included BBC3 - 11. Unsure if Phil was on S4C.
But BBC Alba -Scottish Gaelic-language channel- And BBC Scotland showed the same thing.
I wouldn't mind if BBC New, Parliament and maybe BBC2 have covered all day.
Netflix : The £5.99 is something that I could do, but unjust cost. I'm glad that over Freeview channels didn't clear and show Phil.
We need some cheering up in this shitty time.

Fairly tough week and just bland music, “news” bulletins and awkwardly whispering replacement presenters on the radio (worse on tv). Had my effing phil of it.
So after eating, I got drunk and ended up streaming music videos until late.

Even the BBC News readers were tweeting last night how utterly ridiculous it was.

I'd understand it if it was the Queen.. but he's just her husband. Effectively the First Lady.

Its like Melania Trump dying.

BBC has received so many complaints about its wall-to-wall coverage of the news that it opened a dedicated complaints form on its website.

The BBC curtailed dozens of broadcasts on Friday, taking the nation’s most popular television and radio channels off air and reduced dozens of other broadcasts on stations across the country, in order to provide uninterrupted coverage of tributes to the Queen’s husband.

Can’t believe I’m forced to pay for this shit. Can only imagine what the coverage is going to be like when lizzy kicks the bucket, presenters self harming as a mark of respect.
