The Suggest Something for the Forums thread
#1
If you have a suggestion of something you think we can add or change to improve the forums, make it here

This is not for bugs and errors. There is a separate thread for those.

And remember... there are no bad suggestions. Just stupid ones.

Did you hear back from Attitude etc. regarding permission for posting from their magazineS?

Not a dickybird from either of em. Which is nice.

Is there a "mark forum read" button somewhere that I'm not seeing?

It's a no though yes as that is stated in your blacklisted thread?
Also, I am intrigued why certain people's pictures are not allowed i.e. Aaron Moody/Steve Backshall; is that because you have been contacted directly by a representative of them?  Very curious!
I read the FAQs of FAQs so found my answer there. A very funny read too!

In the old forum I found the second line subtitle to be very helpful.
I tend to click on threads that say: Naked, Full Frontal, VPL, Bulge, Naked Weigh-in, or some other tittilating tease.
and not much on others (with some exceptions, not many though).  I relied on that subtitle a lot.
Now I don't know which threads to click on.  Don't have time to click on all of them.  Have to be selective.
I guess I'm the odd guy out and generally don't have much interest in individual celebs like others do.

Option to delete post - I can't seem to find it and now I have a post which says 'This post has been deleted.'

Regular users can't delete posts.
I think I deleted your post because you asked for info and then posted that you found it. I assumed the post was gone but apparently you can still see it. I'm guessing you're the only one who can see it as the original poster (and the mods can see it).

Edit: It's now gone completely

I agree with Parsifal a second line subtitle would be good, I liked to use that feature. But that's pretty much the only thing I can think of, everything else is all good.

I like the ignore feature, it's already coming in handy, but is there any posibility that it could be extended to hide people's threads? IE not see them at all? Or ways of "hiding" individual threads?

I think there should be a Music Discussion Forum : I don't think it would be a slippery slope into adding ever more categories to the new forums and a lot of people are passionate for it Smile

Post em in Gossip for now.
If there's enough of em, they'll get their own forum Approve

I know that too many topics can be a curse, but I have liked to see footballers separated from other sportsmen.

Could there be the facility to delete my own reply to a post if I’ve made an error?

You can edit it and remove the text, and add something like 'deleted' but we don't allow members to delete entire posts.

I only seem to be able to "Like" the original post in a thread.
Sometimes someone posts an addition that warrants a like without unnecessarily spamming the thread with "nice post!" posts.
Any way to enable the dishing out of likes on replies?

We're considering it.

The original point was that you're not supposed to keep adding pics to a thread.. you're supposed to start a new thread. But that seems to be an unpopular view.

I think I'd prefer that.

i take it the mega view (monthly mega posts) is gone forever or an oversight?
