Does anyone know how to delete / deactivate an account?
I can find information to do anything else, but not this. Any help gratefully received.

We don't delete accounts.
If you're sure you never want to use it again, just stopping coming here/logging in.
After a set amount of time the account will be classed as inactive and a set amount of time after that, it will be removed.

Removed as in that they wont show up. So we wont be getting accounts with people who haven't been on in 5/10 years?

You can’t have the same number of users from the old board, unless they all got the message and re-registered.
Maybe allowing people to change their username might be an idea, but I’ve never wanted to do that either.

Would be nice to have some option to delete your account.
Or some time limit that if you haven't been on here, after a certain amount of time, your account would be deactivate.

I just don't get why.
If you don't want to post here anymore, don't post here anymore.
Unless you mean by deleting your account, everything you posted is deleted too. Which we don't want. It would just lead to users who've got the hump decimating the board.

Not everything deleted, threads stay there. Just maybe something says account deactivate/deleted.
Like with the banned accounts. There's a line going through their names.
