I abs loved it, I wasn’t a typical Irish abroad, I spend many a day exploring all over the city, seen and did things locals wouldn’t even know, ate and drank in many different places, as I say unfortunately I began to have health issues and American health care is expensive. I lived in maspeth for a while before moving to Astoria.

Thank you RyCamp because I have no idea.  I don't eat meat.
Do you know if Hanks is still open?  Because of Covid a lot of restaurants have closed for good with "Space for Rent" signs in the window. Sad

I'm not sure I'll ever be in NYC again, so not an emergency situation.

LOL
I always hoped that we would meet up at some point even though we fought (maybe because we fought LOL)

Sorry to hear about the health issues.  You're young.  Glad you're getting better.

Living here in NYC during Covid times is different for different people.  Some are impacted severely, both financially and healthwise, as all over I suppose.
I'm one of the lucky ones.  For some the forced isolation is a hardship, for me it's just a bit frustrating.  I've met with a friend (outside wearing masks) about four times since March.  That's it.  But I stay connected with a lot of people with email and Zoom (plus a few tussles here on fmf LOL).  I hardly go out except for food shopping and walks in the park.  About two months ago I started going back to the gym and quickly noticed a drop in performance since March, still not back to pre-Covid.

How is it going for you back home in NI?  Do you have work?
