1917, I think

Oops - misread the thread title. Can’t remember the first one. A Disney cartoon, no doubt. The first grown up film was Live and Let Die

Disney used to re-release its classics into theatres. Mine would have been one of those: Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, or Lady and the Tramp, or Pinocchio, ...

There are only so many years back that the human mind can recollect.  I'm past that. KK

I only remember as my parents really didn't like the cinema, so up to the age of about 15 I think I only saw 4 films on the big screen.

Petes Dragon
The Empire Strikes Back
Superman II
Ghostbusters 2

(also seems they had a thing for sequels!)

The Lion King but my sister was hyperactive (probably ADHD these days) and had to be careful what E numbers she ate. So my main memory is my dad chasing her up and down the aisles and then them disappearing for half of the film.
Didn't go again until a girl in the year above asked me out and I took her to see Titanic, it smelt of Lynx Africa and CK one and Leonardo DiCaprio was the definite highlight.

Every time you reply to anything it's the Kev-iest possible take. I'm never surprised and always delighted.

E.T. -1982

I was seven years old at the time - and of course people in the audience were crying at the ending. I didn't cry but found it all quite emotional.
