I hate the fact that teenage guys seem to believe that they have to look like that. Most teenaged actors on TV, or actors portraying teenagers, look like this now, and it makes the average Joe think it's not normal. It's not normal for teenagers to spend half their life in the gym. We're in the same situation with teenage guys as we were with size zero models making girls thinking that was normal too.

I mean, bugger me, but there was a time when it was normal for 18/19 year old lads to be “well-built” (as in toned/muscly, rather than chunky).

Not that keen on lads who are “18”, but could easily pass for 14 (very smooth, very skinny).

People start working out for all reasons, but rarely are able to keep it up if they hate it. Also, crazy how it's deemed unacceptable to talk about people who gain fat, but happy to slag off guys who gain muscle or lose weight

Voicing an opinion that they find less muscular or less thin guys is not "slagging off". It's just that. Voicing a personal opinion.
