Hmm I didn’t think Loreens song was the best there, for my tastes anyways. What are Sweden gonna do next year, enter Loreen again? Or go the whole hog and enter ABBA?

Sad to say that I thought the UKs performance was, by far, the weakest of all 26.

I mean if we get Petra and Mans and ABBA next year, that'd be pretty sweet. Kind of wished it had been Käärijä (or really anyone but Sweden, (I genuinely thought Spain and Italy and Austria and Czechia and maybe some wild card Australia's and Belgium"s would take more points off the Jurys than Loreen's 12 sweep) not even sure why at this point, would she have won if she wasn't Loreen, would I've liked it more if it wasn't Sweden - who knows? who cares? It's all beautiful, absurd nonsense, that should put a smile on your face) Happy Eurovision everyone Cha, cha, cha, cha, cha, cha, cha. Next year in Stockholm. x

I liked Australia best, but they came 9th.
Slovenia were good (& quite cute!) but only 21st.
The Swiss guy had an amazing voice (& also very cute!), he came 20th & looked rather upset poor thing...
The UK entry seemed to lack power & was badly staged in my opinion, but at least we weren't last (came 25th) with that honour going to Germany (at 26th).
Overall I enjoyed the whole thing, but I really didn't enjoy Mel's commentary - she was trying to be Sir Terry but just ended up annoying.
Oh - and I did raise a glass to Sir Terry during Song Number 9...

It does make me laugh that before the contest (as has happened over many years), all the British pundits say how good the British song is and how it should do well etc etc. And now this morning, the same people are speculating as to why it all went wrong.

I think it was a half decent song. Not wonderful but far better than a lot we have entered.
The staging was very poor though and, alas, she can't cut it live in front of an arena crowd. Something the other 25 could.
Add that to being last in the running order and it probably came where it deserved to. Only beating Germany - and theirs was truly awful.
I didn't like Swedens as much as I thought I would. It was VERY like Euphoria. A bit of a half arsed effort - but it worked.
Finland was #1 for the crazy stakes.
Belgium would have been a good winner. Really liked that.
And I liked Australia much much more than I thought I would do too.

Really don't think there was any need for Graham to 'host' he is far better as UK Commentator.
Perhaps the BBC thought he deserved some screen time.
