Eurovision 2023
Liverpool (UK) on behalf of Ukraine
#1
Entries are starting to come out including UK's, which is a fairly decent bop. I'm actually really, really digging it as a solid fun pop song but I'm no music expert.

Also loving Finland and Austria.

If she actually tried to sing do you think she could hold a tune?

I think Austria is my current favourite. Bit biased cause indie, electro, alternative rock/pop are my favourite musical styles (like Belle & Sebastian and Tegan & Sara) but the hooks are good (oh mio padre, there's a ghost in my body), tune catchy and it's got a really good message (if you listen to it three times they might even earn a whole penny). Probably won't win but deserves to be up there. Actually thinking about it the national juries should be able to relate to the struggle maybe more than the viewer vote, so might get a few douze points.

Looking forward to it.

All 37 songs are now selected. UKs performing last and Ukraine 19th in the grand final.
Anyone have any favourites so far? It's quite eclectic this year.

As a loose unorganised top 12, at the minute, I'd say I like: Armenia, Austria, Czechia, Finland, France, Germany, Iceland, Latvia, Norway, Portugal, Sweden and UK.

Is the UK performing last a random draw thing or not.?

It's a terrible position if they want to win.
Which, of course, they don't.

Yeah random. It's not the best position but if they have decent staging and performance they could still convince a few voters. I have watched her sing live on some YouTube videos and she's very breathy, distractingly breathy. But we'll see what they come up with. Hopefully a strong closing number.
