NEW RULE FOR SOCIAL MEDIA CELEBRITIES
#1
If you are posting pics of a Social Media famousmale, please include which site they have the required number of followers on, and the number of followers.

Example...

JOHN PAUL SMITH
Youtuber with 800K followers

Remember, only males with over 500K followers may be posted.

If you do not include this information in your post and the celeb is unrecognised, the post may be deleted.

Thanks
Wink

…and yet only the other day, a mod had to remind people that an actor/model with 3 acting roles (the best-known one isn’t logged on IMDB) “only just scraped through”.

Would sort of suggest that maybe people who’ve done reality, or quiz show appearances may not be “safe” to post if they’ve built their career around socials, rather than tv/movie appearances. Or models who act, come to that.

It’s not the rule I’m bothered about. It’s just like this the thin end of another wedge…

except we're not introducing any new rule on who you can post. Just doing something to clarify the existing rules and make it easier and quicker to moderate.

So not the thin end, of the same wedge.

I was the mod who mentioned those 3 acting roles on IMDB and I was the one who suggested this new rule. As Ladsnet said, the requirement in the rule is not new, having to mention on which social media someone has 500K followers is intended to make it easier for us mods to determine whether someone is famous enough to be posted based on the existing rules here at FMF.

So for example...a really handsome guy on a game show, or a unknown actor shirtless on Emmerdale, cannot be posted here? Like it has been happening since 2006 when I first joined the OG forum site?

Good. Got it.

It’s reading between the lines. Wink

Paddy Mitchell would be a good example.

Or Freddie Pearson.

If you all hate these extremely easy rules so much...leave? Is this worth it?
