Anti-LGBTQ candidate Kate Forbes on course to win
#21
Considering how this race started I gotta say I'm pleased with Scotland and it remains on my list of refuge countries.

Haha yeah that’s true!

Does anyone else find it tiring that our parliamentarians don’t seem to understand we elect a party not a prime minister, so why were the SNP saying Rishi doesn’t have a mandate since taking over. Surely they are now in the same situation?
Must be more or a case for an Alternative Vote referendum than ever before.

It’s not as easy to get elected by 400 votes if you need to persuade voters to place you higher than the other contenders (which is why candidates have to wait for several counts to know if they’ve been elected).

I feel a lot of the silliness of the last 5 or 10 years would not have happened if candidates had to wait until the eighth count to get (the preferences to be) elected. And would stop huge numbers of seats being won by a landslide.

No we don't, we elect an MP.

Now we know the true reasoning behind Sturgeon's resignation. Her house has been raided and her husband arrested on suspicion of misappropriation of funds.

Oh, so she is just a regular politician. That's disappointing but not surprising.

D’uh. Since when did politicians deserve respect simply by being elected??

It’s the same the world over. Even councillors are a waste of time.
