Tonight I read a story that the journalist Nicholas Thompson (newly appointed CEO of The Atlantic) wrote back in 1998 about his shoestring travel across Africa starting in Morocco (where he was kidnapped by a drug lord) and ending in Johannesburg, SA published in the Washington Post.  An incredible and beautiful journey by an impressive man.  (google: nicholas thompson "Continental Drift" <- the title of the article).

On reading the article I thought that this is the kind of man that I would like to know, travel with, be friends with or bf.  And he's cute too (then and now).

If I meet him I might try.  I would love to see him naked.
But the fact that he's married with three kids would probably stop me.  Besides, I don't move in journalistic circles.
Ideal would be a single guy like him, even if for a (straight) travel companion.
I thought about it and realized that what attracts me so strongly to him (aside from the fact that he's cute) is his open-mindedness to new experiences together with courage.  That's a powerful combination (and he strikes me as being of powerful character - well, something got him to CEO of The Atlantic).
It's worth noting that the root of the word courage comes from the French word coeur (= heart), i.e. courage is living from the heart.
(Maybe he has a single brother.    BTW, Thompson is 45-y/o which is a beautiful age for me.)

That's ONE of my types.  But that's the wrong way to look at it.  Often enough I'm attracted to someone who is out-of-type.  But certain "types" do turn my head.  Yes. (and some preppies don't).

Earlier I was in the supermarket and saw a guy dressed in an overcoat, hat and mask.  All I could see was his dark eyes.
