REPORTING POSTS
#1
Following a spate of incidents, the following has been added to the rules..

Quote:REPORTING POSTS

If you see a post that breaks the rules please contact a moderator via the "Report This Post" button. Do not use the public forums to start an argument.
Note - The "Report This Post" button is only to be used for postings that break the forum rules. It is not to be used because you simply disagree with what other people say. Continued misuse of the button may result in warnings being issued.

Each time the button is used it creates work for the mod team to check, edit/delete if neccessary and then clear the report.

Recently there have been days where we have had pages of these reports, most of which related to posts that did not break the rules at all.

Particularly when political issues or males are being discussed or pictured, it seems to have become a 'thing' to report the post if the post does not agree with your political views. This is not what the button is for.

Think of the button like the emergency cord on a train. If you misuse it continuously, you'll get a slap on the wrist.

This is not a message aimed at one user, as a number of you have started to do this recently.

Thanks.
