Sam Smith
Singing
#1
It might just be me that find it a bit difficult to understand Sam singing.

Like he's mumbling on a few songs like Stay With Me and Writing's On The Wall

I take it you watched the BBC LGBTQ+ thing ?

Yeah.. it was like he'd just been to the dentist.
Does he always sing like that ?

Caught the ending, Stay With Me song. Guess you watched it?

Noticed it in the James Bond song Writing's On The Wall.
Without subtitles, a case of wtf

Think that he might always have sang like that.
Sam speaking - clear, but singing, fuck

Same. Not having a go at They's video that has been talked about. Don't care about that.

Just that Sam's singing voice ain't good. Like as I said about Writing's On The Wall. Without the subtitles, it's a case "Sorry what was that?" Could you say that again?

Sam gets on tits too. Something about they that grates

Are they leading the charge for LGBTQ+ inclusion and acceptance by dressing in a gimp suit for the Brits ??

I can't keep up.

There is that thing of is what Sam Smith doing something that would have been done in the 80's, so why are people complaining.

If Sam Smith is doing it for LGBTQ+ inclusion, is that they way to do it?

True

Frankie Goes To Hollywood were ruder.

And they could sing.

Couldn't it just be that Sam is enjoying dressing up in outrageous outfits? No different than Lady Gaga wearing a meat dress really. And they are just having fun exploring their sexuality and feeling body positive - Sam only really came out recently, lots of us go through a flamboyant phase when we first embrace being open with the world and doing in the public eye probably adds an extra layer to it.

Personally, I didn't have much time for them when they first started releasing records, but I am enjoying seeing them rock these looks and seeming to feel unabashedly confident doing it.

Maybe he forgets the words and just fakes his way through the song.

Gaga was always different, he wasn’t, it’s all for attention, he sounds shite too. He actually turns me looking at him.

Lady Gaga explained to why she was wearing a meat dress that the dress was a statement about one's need to fight for what one believes in, and highlighted her distaste for the United States military's don't ask, don't tell policy.

With Sam Smith, it just what he's doing just grates.

We can agree to disagree. Sam doesn't bother me and can wear whatever they want. Shame some people get so triggered by what people wear.

I just think that him singing live is bad

I appreciate your original point was about how they sing. I've never been a fan of their music either TBH, although I quite like the new single. I thought they seemed really sweet on Graham Norton the other week, like a big camp bull mastiff puppy in semi drag and platform heels lol. To each their own.

Pop star in looking for attention shock Rolleyes

I don't quite get why people are so po-faced about it. Pop stars are meant to do outlandish things and wear weird stuff, it's what they do.
