A friend of mine always seems to make a killing betting on Eurovision and every year I mean to follow his advice, but every year I forget all about it. I think you need to follow the market on Betfair in the lead up to it and move your money around as the prices change to get the most from it.
Might give him a call later and see if he has any tips...

Does anyone think UK will get more than, say, 10 points?
We should get 12 points from Ukraine seeing how much they love our Boris!

The thing that makes the UK result always seem so much worse is that the papers always seem to hype it up as a winner. They seem to think we'll come 2nd this time
Its quite a catchy tune I'll admit... but I don't think he's quite up there in the eye-candy stakes and, as per usual, I've seen a clip of rehearsal and the UKs staging looks very naff from what I saw.
I don't think we'll be null points but we'll be lucky to be in the top half of the results I reckon.

Starting to filter through that Scott Mills was very heavily involved in Sam's selection. Finding him, putting him forward and championing him. He got tired of the naysayers and people saying we could never win because of x, y and z, when in reality we were just sending naff. So he took matters into his own hands and proved what we can do.

also read that some music producers 'Tap?' were brought in and decided that we keep entering songs that would do well on the UK chart rather than songs that would do well on Eurovision, and picked a song determined by that.
Plus a singer who can REALLY sing.
Certainly worked. Great result. Even exceeded my expectations.
And should shut the "we'll never win cos everyone hates us" crowd up for a bit. We usually never win cos we enter utter shite.
I still think that his set design, apparently the most expensive and complex of all the acts, was pants though.

What a wonderful result for Sam!
Was probably a foregone conclusion that Ukraine would win, but I didn't think that we'd be leading with the judges votes at half time!
Just goes to show that if we actually enter something decent, we can achieve a result.
Wonder which way it will go next year...?

Well done to Ukraine who thoroughly deserved it although the UK were worthy too.
Congratulations to Spain and Sweden who made up a well deserved top four.
Super Sam.

Since when did Eurovision song contest become the war song contest? Their music was garbage but Putin is still bad though.
