He had a traumatic childhood so I don't judge his search for peace but I've stopped following his socials for the reason above.

Is he still doing religious bullshit, or was that childhood thing?

Zero judgement, but I hope for his sake that's the case...Religion is incredibly toxic and will almost always make things worse, especially if you already have trauma and are LGBT+ on top of that


EDIT: just wanted to make the important distinction that I was talking about ORGANISED religion. I have nothing against people's personal beliefs. If you believe in god and that brings you comfort or makes you strive to be a better person, good for you. I'm genuinely happy for you.

He is pretty clearly a recent victim of serious conversion therapy bullshit, yes. And that issue is still ongoing. His tour manager is a member of Bethel church, the anti-gay pro-conversion therapy church where he was publically baptized. He recently deleted all his IG posts that mentioned his previous coming out.

So sad, it's just gonna cause him so much stress and trauma in the long-run.
Id conversion therapy still legal in the U.S? Feels like the kind of abuse that should have been outlawed decades ago.
