I've watched The Challenge (US) for about ten years and love it, not got high hopes for this though.

They've aired it after 11pm on Channel 5, so hardly prime time viewing and they've barely promoted it. Also it's using all the same challenges from the current US season, which felt repetitive and dull when the Ozzie one tried it.

Aside from the shirtless blokes, was it any good?

Yes, the winners go forward to the international show representing UK.  It's sort of Love Island meets Ninja Warrior,
